As Summer slowly fades and Winter appears I thought it about time to show some of the beach scenes which one can find when you visit the beaches in Barcelona.
Beach bars called Chiringuitos are located all along the promenade and offer drinks and light meals right on the beaches. Many of these bars become clubs from sunset - when they play music and put on the disco lights. A real beach party vibe can exist!

There are also libraries on the beach. If beachgoers are bored it is easy enough to pick up a book and continue some reading in the sunlight... Talking of which, there is less and less sunlight each day now. The library seems to be closed though these days. Probably until Summer 2012....

The yachts which used to sail the waters in front of the beaches are becoming fewer and fewer as the water gets grayer and colder...

The swimmers and beachgoers are also thinning down...
The part of the beach in front of the iconic W Hotel was throbbing with tourists and beachgoers. Now it seems to be empty.

Tourism is seasonal and the season has ended so the place is becoming a normal city once again without the tourist masses and the added Summer activities...
